Shooting Star

The main idea for this render came when I was looking for ideas for a New Year's render project and stumbled across a series of anime images with fireworks. This project is exciting for two things. The first of them is the fireworks. Working with a bunch of particles is not easy, even when baked. The second thing is that the background and character were rendered with different engines. The background was rendered using EEVEE (because the fireworks don't look good using a path tracer) while the character was rendered using Cycles. For rendering, I first render the character, then I mix it with the background render using the compositor. However, during the final render, I struggled with the feathery white lines between the character and the background. But then I found a workaround by rendering it as a video instead of an image that I later screenshotted using VLC. After that, I do some post-processing using GIMP.
