Beneath the Mask

The idea for this render was inspired by the lyrics of Persona 5's OST, Beneath the Mask, which also serves as the title of this piece. It draws further inspiration from some of my older renders, such as Behind the Mask, Static Mask, and Frame of Lie, all of which explore the theme of hiding or concealing one's true self behind a mask or persona. Additionally, I took visual design cues from another of my renders, Monochrome.

And just like Monochrome, I utilized Cryptomatte in the compositor to isolate the suit and iris meshes, allowing these elements to retain their color while the rest of the scene remains in black and white.
