Rain of Blood Petals

The main inspiration for this render comes from the song "I am Always Wrong" by Alice Schach and the Magic Orchestra. While listening to the music, the idea of shooting yourself in the head popped into my mind. And for the flowers that cover the face, I got the inspiration from the cover of "Hold Up" by Nick Smith. Initially, the character would hold a real pistol, possibly a snubnosed revolver. But I then decided to change it to a finger pistol instead. I also experimented with using two-tone red and blue lighting for the character. I utilized the Light Linking feature of Blender 4.0 (it was still in Alpha during the project development) to better control the lighting. After I was satisfied with the lighting, I did some color grading on the compositor.
