Fight Club

What started as a simple idea of remaking the poster from the movie adaptation of Fight Club turns into something a bit more complicated 😅. For example, trying to mach the shot and pose of the poster is a challange. It took me many iteration until I get to something that closely match the reference. And if you're wondering, this isn't a one-to-one recreation of the poster. That's why I use my own characters, Thomas and Walker, instead of the unnamed protagonist and Tyler Durden. Next is compositing, which is a bit more complicated than my usual compositing setup. Since I want control of each elements. I seperated the characters and background into it's own view layer, where each gets it's own compositing setup. I also uses some cryptomattes to mask different parts of the render. I then plug each elements into a file output node and render it as invividual images that I then edited in GIMP.
